Research

Our group is engaged in development of chromatographic and mass spectrometric methods to measure various analytes in complex matrices. These sensitive and specific methods are suitable to quantify a wide array of endogenous biological compounds, drug molecules and drug metabolism intermediates as well as pollutants. We participate in cooperative biological and medical research projects aiming to evolve individualized cancer therapy and to elucidate molecular mechanisms of lipotoxicity.

The group’s other area of interest is the investigation on the adsorption properties and selectivity of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) in order to widen their applicability and better understand their functionality.
